What can I tell you about this book it’s all in the Title.
The book is about the generational differences and what to look for to profit from it. Who are the Baby Boomer, Gen X and Gen Y. The years that they were born in and what should you be marketing towards them.
Kenneth goes into details in the book about how certain generations affected the markets. For example Gen X’ers killed off the Japanese motorcycles in the mid 80’s due to the lack of numbers. Or how Gen Y likes mail and you should send them coupons in the mail. I noticed this with my own, he asks me if he got mail? Then I think your only 4, what mail. Or how for every 10 Boomer leaving a job only 9 X’ers to fill it and Gen Y is so large that immigration will slow down due to the shear numbers of Y’s.
I found this book very interesting finished it in two day. One more thing I would like point out from the book. Building senior housing they say is over build ever for the boomers. Boomers just started to retire it will be at least 15-20 year before the would go into a home. So to build it now you will not be able to fill it.
